ScorpSoft Shield (“Service”) is provided by ScorpSoft Solutions (“ScorpSoft”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you (“you”, “Customer”) enter a binding agreement with ScorpSoft Solutions. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
ScorpSoft Shield performs read-only, non-intrusive security assessments of web properties you designate (headers, TLS, DNS, exposed configuration, common misconfigurations) and surfaces findings, remediation guidance and reports through the Customer dashboard.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone else to:
You are solely responsible for the domains and targets you submit and for obtaining any authorisation required to scan them.
We retain all right, title and interest in and to the Service, including our software, models, scanning engine, branding and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. You retain ownership of the data you submit; you grant us a limited licence to host and process that data solely to provide the Service.
We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scan results are provided on an “as is” basis. Security is a moving target; the absence of a finding is not a guarantee that a system is secure, and you remain responsible for your own security decisions.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our Acceptable Use policy. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will retain your scan history for a limited period so you can export it before it is deleted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, including claims that you scanned or interfered with systems you were not authorised to test.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in-app before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScorpSoft Solutions is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Questions about these Terms: info@scorpsoftsolutions.com.
